Here's the idea behind this one. Umckaloabo (a Pelargonium root extract) seems to give the immune system a little nudge in lab dishes. Palbociclib (Ibrance) isn't a typical immunosuppressant, but it does slow down cell growth and can lower your blood counts, especially your white cells. So in theory, a supplement that revs up immune activity could pull in the opposite direction from what your cancer treatment is trying to do.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. It comes only from test-tube studies, not from people taking Ibrance, so we really don't know if it matters in real life. Still, since this is serious cancer therapy, I'd skip the supplement unless your oncologist or pharmacist gives you the green light first.

Some clinical research suggests it may help symptoms resolve a bit faster, but the quality of evidence is mixed and it is not a cure. About Palbociclib

What Is Palbociclib Used For?

Brand name: Ibrance

Palbociclib (brand name Ibrance) is used to treat adults with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer. It is always given in combination with other medicines — either an aromatase inhibitor as a first hormonal treatment, or with fulvestrant after the cancer has progressed on prior hormonal therapy. It is also used with inavolisib and fulvestrant for a specific subtype (PIK3CA-mutated, endocrine-resistant) of this cancer confirmed by an FDA-authorized test.

Ibrance is also approved in combination with trastuzumab (with or without pertuzumab) and endocrine therapy for maintenance treatment of adults with HR-positive, HER2-positive locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer, following initial induction treatment.
