HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Detox360 Advanced by NDS Nutrition
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Detox360 Advanced contains 12 ingredients, including the active components lactobacillus acidophilus (a live probiotic), senna leaf extract and cascara sagrada (both stimulant laxatives), ginger, dandelion, uva ursi, black pepper powder, cardamom powder, peppermint powder, and slippery elm. Oat bran and bentonite clay are also included.
The product also contains inactive ingredients—rice flour, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, and gelatin—which serve as fillers and capsule material.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Evidence varies widely by ingredient and claimed use. Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), H. pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
Senna leaf extract is likely effective for constipation and possibly effective for bowel preparation. Ginger is possibly effective for pregnancy-induced nausea and vomiting, dysmenorrhea (period pain), and osteoarthritis, but possibly ineffective for exercise-induced muscle soreness and chemotherapy-induced nausea.
Peppermint is likely effective for IBS and possibly effective for indigestion and various types of nausea. For most other ingredients and uses on this product—dandelion, uva ursi, cardamom, black pepper, and slippery elm—the evidence is insufficient to rate or shows insufficient evidence.
Because this is a combination product marketed as a 'detox' or cleanse formula, the company's central claims about detoxification are not established in the data we hold.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Lactobacillus acidophilus is generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children; a small number of trial participants reported rash with one probiotic combination, though it's unclear which ingredient caused it. Mild gastrointestinal side effects—abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea—are uncommon.
In rare cases, the live organisms have been linked to serious infections like sepsis in vulnerable patients. Senna and cascara sagrada are stimulant laxatives meant for short-term use only; long-term use carries real risks including potassium depletion, liver toxicity, and severe side effects at high doses.
Senna is possibly safe in pregnancy and lactation; cascara sagrada is not recommended in pregnancy and possibly unsafe during breastfeeding. Ginger is likely safe in pregnancy and likely safe during breastfeeding at food amounts.
Dandelion, uva ursi, black pepper, peppermint, and slippery elm have limited or insufficient safety data in pregnancy and/or breastfeeding; uva ursi is likely unsafe in pregnancy. Several ingredients—ginger, peppermint, dandelion, black pepper—can cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals, and some carry rare risks of serious skin reactions or anaphylaxis.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (including warfarin, aspirin, or clopidogrel)—ginger and senna can increase bleeding risk. Also check if you take heart drugs (digoxin, propranolol, nifedipine), diabetes medications, diuretics, or lithium, since multiple ingredients can change their levels or effects.
If you take any oral medication regularly, mention that slippery elm may slow its absorption.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Detox360 Advanced is a combination of herbs, probiotics, and laxatives marketed for cleansing. Some ingredients like peppermint and lactobacillus have evidence for specific digestive uses, while senna and cascara sagrada are proven laxatives—but both are meant only for short-term constipation and carry risks with long-term use.
This product has substantial interactions with blood thinners, heart drugs, diabetes medications, diuretics, and many others, and slippery elm can interfere with absorption of any oral medication. If you take any prescription medications, check each one with your doctor or pharmacist before starting Detox360 Advanced; the same applies if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have kidney, heart, or blood-clotting concerns.

Detox360 Advanced by NDS Nutrition Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Detox360 Advanced by NDS Nutrition contains multiple ingredients with documented interactions with medications.
The most serious concern is a Moderate interaction through its senna leaf extract and cascara sagrada content with warfarin (Coumadin) and related blood thinners—both can increase bleeding risk by causing diarrhea, which amplifies the drug's effects. Beyond that, several ingredients interact with common medication classes.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Senna leaf extract interacts with estrogens (reducing absorption), diuretics and digoxin (increasing potassium loss), and stimulant laxatives (compounding fluid and electrolyte loss). Cascara sagrada similarly affects diuretics, corticosteroids, digoxin, and warfarin through potassium depletion and laxative effects, plus it may weakly induce a liver enzyme (CYP3A4) that metabolizes many drugs.
Ginger interacts with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs, diabetes medications, warfarin, the blood pressure drug losartan, nifedipine, phenprocoumon, and drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 or transported by P-glycoprotein—its antiplatelet effects and enzyme inhibition can increase bleeding risk or drug levels.
Dandelion interacts with potassium-sparing diuretics (raising potassium too high), anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs, diabetes medications, lithium, quinolone antibiotics, and drugs processed through UDP-glucuronosyltransferase. Uva ursi affects drugs metabolized by CYP2C19 and CYP3A4, glucuronidated drugs, lithium, and urinary acidifying agents.
Black pepper interacts with propranolol, nevirapine, rifampin, phenytoin, cyclosporine, pentobarbital, atorvastatin, and theophylline by increasing their blood levels. Peppermint affects drugs metabolized by CYP2C19, CYP2C9, and CYP3A4, and cyclosporine.
Slippery elm may slow absorption of all oral medications.
Cardamom has no interactions documented in our data. We could not check Oat Bran or Bentonite Clay.
Altogether, these interactions span 2,208 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page with your exact prescriptions, and talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting this product.
