Diltiazem, Enalapril falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Adrafinil interacts with.

Theoretically, adrafinil might reduce the effects of antihypertensive drugs.
Adrafinil is a precursor to the stimulant prescription drug modafinil. Modafinil has been shown to increase diastolic and systolic blood pressure. Retrospective analyses show that patients taking modafinil had a small but increased rate of requiring new antihypertensive drugs or increased use of antihypertensive drugs when compared with placebo.

Teczem is a combination of two blood pressure medicines: diltiazem (a calcium channel blocker) and enalapril (an ACE inhibitor). Both work to relax your blood vessels and bring your numbers down. Here's the concern with adrafinil: your liver turns it into modafinil, a stimulant that can actually nudge your blood pressure up. So in theory, adrafinil could work against your Teczem and make it harder to keep your readings controlled.

I want to be honest that this is a theoretical concern based on how these drugs behave, not strong proof of harm. Still, if you take adrafinil along with Teczem, it's worth checking your blood pressure at home and watching for headaches or a racing heartbeat. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them, especially since adrafinil is unregulated and hard on the liver.

This combo pill pairs diltiazem with enalapril, two blood pressure medicines. The piece that matters here is diltiazem, because it slows down a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Your body relies on that same enzyme to clear modafinil, which is what adrafinil turns into once your liver processes it.

So in theory, taking diltiazem alongside adrafinil could let modafinil hang around longer and hit harder. That might mean more jitteriness, a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, headache, or higher blood pressure, which works against what these meds are trying to do. Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based on how the drugs are handled, not on real-world reports. Adrafinil itself is also tough on the liver, so please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Here's the gist with this combo. Teczem combines diltiazem (a calcium channel blocker for blood pressure) with enalapril (an ACE inhibitor). The diltiazem part is handled by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Adrafinil turns into modafinil in your body, and modafinil can gently speed up that same enzyme. In theory, that could clear diltiazem a little faster and make it work less well, so your blood pressure might creep up or your heart rate might not stay as controlled as expected.

I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how the drugs work, not strong real-world data, and modafinil is only a weak inducer. The enalapril part isn't really affected. Don't change anything on your own, just loop in your doctor or pharmacist so they can keep an eye on your numbers.
