Olanzapine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Bacopa interacts with.

Theoretically, bacopa might increase the levels and adverse effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
Research on the effects of bacopa extracts on CYP1A2 enzymes is conflicting. Some in vitro evidence shows that bacopa extract can moderately and non-competitively inhibit CYP1A2, while other in vitro evidence suggests that any effect is unlikely to be clinically significant.

Here's the gist for your Zyprexa. Olanzapine is cleared from your body mostly by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In some test-tube studies, bacopa appears to slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened in real life, your body would clear olanzapine a little more slowly, so levels could creep up and you might notice stronger effects like drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, or feeling more sedated than usual.

The honest truth is that this is theoretical. It comes from lab studies, not from people, and even those results conflict, so many experts doubt it matters much. Still, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor before adding bacopa, especially if you notice extra grogginess.

Bacopa is an Ayurvedic herb most often used for memory and thinking. About Olanzapine

What Is Olanzapine Used For?

Brand name: Zyprexa

Olanzapine treats schizophrenia and the manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder in both adults and adolescents (ages 13–17). It can also be used alongside valproate or lithium to treat manic or mixed episodes in adults. When combined with fluoxetine, olanzapine tablets and orally disintegrating tablets are used to treat depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder and treatment-resistant depression in adults.

Olanzapine intramuscular injection (short-acting) is used by healthcare providers to quickly calm acute agitation in adults with schizophrenia or bipolar I mania. Zyprexa Relprevv — a separate, long-acting intramuscular formulation available only through a restricted program — is indicated specifically for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults.
