Amphetamine Sulfate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Cajeput Oil interacts with.

Evidence from in vitro research suggests that cajeput leaf extract can inhibit cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) by approximately 30%. Theoretically, cajeput oil may increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6. Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the gist for amphetamine: part of how your body clears it relies on a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Lab research hints that cajeput leaf extract may slow that enzyme by roughly 30 percent. If that played out in people, amphetamine could hang around a bit longer and feel a little stronger. Think more of the usual effects, like a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, reduced appetite, or higher blood pressure.

That said, this is a theoretical concern based only on test-tube data, not real patients, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Breathing in a little cajeput oil is different from concentrated doses. Still, since amphetamine already revs you up, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing the two.
