Dextroamphetamine Sulphate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Cajeput Oil interacts with.

Evidence from in vitro research suggests that cajeput leaf extract can inhibit cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) by approximately 30%. Theoretically, cajeput oil may increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6. Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the basic idea: your body uses a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 to help break down dextroamphetamine. Lab testing suggests cajeput extract may slow that enzyme down by about a third. If that slowdown happened in a real person, your body might clear the stimulant a little less efficiently, so levels could nudge upward. With a stimulant, that could mean more of the usual effects, like a racing or pounding heart, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, reduced appetite, or feeling wired.

That said, this is theoretical. It comes only from test-tube research, not from people, and CYP2D6 is just one of several ways amphetamine is handled. A whiff of inhaled oil is unlikely to matter much. Still, if you plan to use concentrated cajeput regularly, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor first.
