Glipizide, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Cajeput Oil interacts with.

Animal studies suggest that cajeput oil might have hypoglycemic effects. Theoretically, taking cajeput oil with antidiabetes drugs could increase the risk for additive hypoglycemia. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, and others.

Here's the simple version: your Metaglip combines two diabetes medicines, glipizide and metformin, that both work to lower your blood sugar. The glipizide part is the one to watch most, since it nudges your body to release more insulin. In animal studies, cajeput oil also appeared to push blood sugar down a little. So in theory, using them together could stack those effects and drop your sugar too low.

Honestly, this concern is weak right now. It comes from lab and animal data, not from people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, watch for shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or sudden hunger, and check your readings if you start using cajeput oil. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.
