Pitavastatin falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Epistane interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might have additive adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Epistane is an anabolic androgenic steroid, and more specifically a 17-alpha-alkylated androgen. Therefore, there is concern that epistane has hepatotoxic effects. Also, epistane is structurally similar to epitiostanol, which has been associated with hepatotixicity in a case series of four patients.

Here's the simple version: both of these can be hard on your liver, so using them together stacks up the risk. Pitavastatin, like other statins, can occasionally bump up your liver enzymes. Epistane is a methylated anabolic steroid that's well known for stressing the liver. Put the two side by side and you've got two liver irritants working at once.

To be fair, this concern is theoretical, based on how these substances behave rather than on solid case reports with this exact combo. Still, I'd take it seriously. Watch for warning signs like yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness. Honestly, Epistane is illegal to sell as a supplement and I'd steer clear of it. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before mixing these.

About Pitavastatin

What Is Pitavastatin Used For?

Brand names: Zypitamag, Nikita

Pitavastatin tablets are used alongside a cholesterol-lowering diet to reduce LDL-C (low-density lipoprotein, or "bad" cholesterol) in adults with primary hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol not caused by another disease).

Livalo, Pitavastatin Calcium (tablet), and some other pitavastatin tablet products are also approved for adults and children aged 8 years and older with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH) — an inherited condition that causes very high LDL-C from birth. Zypitamag is labeled only for adults with primary hyperlipidemia; its labeling does not include the pediatric HeFH indication.
