Amoxicillin falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Epistane interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might have additive adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Epistane is an anabolic androgenic steroid, and more specifically a 17-alpha-alkylated androgen. Therefore, there is concern that epistane has hepatotoxic effects. Also, epistane is structurally similar to epitiostanol, which has been associated with hepatotixicity in a case series of four patients.

Here's the gist with this pairing. Epistane is a methylated anabolic steroid that's known to be tough on the liver. Amoxicillin, while usually gentle, can in rare cases also irritate the liver. So the worry here is simply additive stress on that one organ, not a direct chemical clash. Amoxicillin itself isn't a prodrug, and it's mostly cleared by your kidneys, so this isn't about your antibiotic being weakened or made stronger.

I'll be straight with you: this concern is theoretical and based on how these compounds behave, not on real reports of the two together. Honestly, the bigger issue is Epistane itself, which we'd urge you to avoid. Watch for yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, or belly pain, and please loop in your doctor or pharmacist.

It is liver-toxic, can disrupt your natural hormones, and is illegal to sell as a supplement in the US under the Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act. About Amoxicillin

What Is Amoxicillin Used For?

Brand names: Amoxil Capsules, Trimox, Wymox, Amix, Amoram, Amoxident, Galenamox, Rimoxallin, Amoxil Injection

Amoxicillin treats bacterial infections in both adults and children, including ear, nose, and throat infections; lower respiratory tract infections; skin and skin structure infections; and genitourinary tract infections.

In adults only, amoxicillin is also used — always combined with other medications — to eradicate Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), the bacteria behind duodenal ulcers. Getting rid of H. pylori has been shown to reduce the chance of those ulcers coming back. It is only effective against bacteria that are susceptible to it and will not work against viral infections like the common cold or flu.
