Cyclophosphamide falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Epistane interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might have additive adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Epistane is an anabolic androgenic steroid, and more specifically a 17-alpha-alkylated androgen. Therefore, there is concern that epistane has hepatotoxic effects. Also, epistane is structurally similar to epitiostanol, which has been associated with hepatotixicity in a case series of four patients.

Here's the simple version: both of these can be hard on your liver, so stacking them together is the worry. Cyclophosphamide is a powerful chemotherapy drug, and your liver is one of the organs that helps process it. Epistane is a methylated anabolic steroid that is well known for stressing the liver too. Put them together and you may be adding two liver stressors on top of each other, which could raise the odds of liver injury (think yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness).

To be fair, this concern is theoretical, based on how each one behaves rather than direct studies of the two together. Still, with a serious cancer drug like this, I would not take any chances. Please talk with your oncologist or pharmacist before using Epistane, and honestly, it is a product I'd steer clear of entirely.

It is liver-toxic, can disrupt your natural hormones, and is illegal to sell as a supplement in the US under the Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act. We strongly recommend avoiding it and talking with a doctor or pharmacist.

About Cyclophosphamide

What Is Cyclophosphamide Used For?

Brand names: Cytoxan, Neosar

Cyclophosphamide is used to treat many types of cancer in adults and children, including malignant lymphomas (such as Hodgkin's disease and Burkitt's lymphoma), multiple myeloma, several forms of leukemia, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, neuroblastoma, retinoblastoma, and advanced mycosis fungoides (a type of skin lymphoma). It is often given alongside other chemotherapy drugs rather than on its own.

Oral and injectable powder formulations (but not the Cyclophosphamide Injection solution concentrate) are also approved for minimal change nephrotic syndrome — a kidney condition — in children who have not responded well to, or cannot tolerate, steroid therapy. The injectable solution concentrate is approved for adult patients only due to its alcohol content, and is not approved for use in children.
