Diclofenac Sodium falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Epistane interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might have additive adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Epistane is an anabolic androgenic steroid, and more specifically a 17-alpha-alkylated androgen. Therefore, there is concern that epistane has hepatotoxic effects. Also, epistane is structurally similar to epitiostanol, which has been associated with hepatotixicity in a case series of four patients.

Here's the concern with pairing these two. Epistane is a methylated anabolic steroid that's known to be tough on the liver. Diclofenac, an everyday anti-inflammatory, can also occasionally stress the liver on its own. Put them together and you may be stacking two liver burdens at once, which could raise your odds of liver irritation.

To be fair, this is a theoretical worry based on how each substance behaves, not proven cases of the combo. Still, it's worth taking seriously. Watch for signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness. Honestly, I'd steer clear of epistane altogether (it's not a legal supplement), and please check in with your doctor or pharmacist before combining anything with diclofenac.

Diclofenac sodium topical gel is used to treat actinic keratoses (AK) — rough, scaly skin patches that form after years of sun exposure. These patches are considered precancerous, meaning they can develop into skin cancer if left untreated.

This is a topical gel, meaning it is applied directly to the skin over the affected area rather than taken by mouth. It belongs to the NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) family.
