Aspirin, Oxycodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Fever Bark interacts with.

Theoretically, fever bark might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that yohimbine, a constituent of fever bark, inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity. The effects of fever bark itself are unclear.

Here's the thing with Percodan (aspirin plus oxycodone): the oxycodone part leans on a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn into oxymorphone, one of its more potent active forms. Lab studies hint that a compound in fever bark (yohimbine) can slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, less oxycodone might convert, which could actually weaken some of the pain relief you'd expect.

I want to be honest, though: this is based only on test-tube work, and what whole fever bark does in people isn't really known. So I'd file it as a theoretical concern, not a proven one. The bigger worry, frankly, is that fever bark's own alkaloids can mess with blood pressure and heart rate. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing the two.

Theoretically, combining fever bark with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs might have additive effects; however, this has not been reported in clinical research.
Research in healthy adults shows that taking yohimbine, a constituent of fever bark, in doses of 8 mg or more, seems to inhibit platelet aggregation in vitro by binding to the alpha-2 adrenoceptor. The effects of fever bark itself are unclear.

Percodan combines two drugs: aspirin, which thins the blood a bit by keeping platelets from clumping, and oxycodone for pain. The concern here is really with the aspirin part. Fever bark contains a yohimbine-like compound that, in lab studies, also made platelets less sticky. So in theory, pairing it with aspirin could add up and make you bruise or bleed more easily, like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or a cut that's slow to stop.

That said, this is very weak, theory-only evidence from lab dishes, not from real people taking both together. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but since fever bark also carries potent alkaloids that can affect blood pressure and heart rate, I'd skip it unless your doctor or pharmacist okays it. Always check with them before adding any herbal product.

Fever bark is the bark of the Australian tree Alstonia constricta, used in traditional medicine for fever, diarrhea, and infections. There is very little reliable human research to support these uses, and the bark contains potent alkaloids that may cause serious side effects. It is best avoided unless used under direct medical supervision.
