Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine

Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Jequirity interacts with.

Evidence from in vitro research suggests that constituents of jequirity beans can inhibit platelet aggregation. Theoretically, jequirity might increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs. Some anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

First things first: jequirity seeds are genuinely poisonous (they contain abrin, a toxin similar to ricin), so this isn't something I'd ever want you taking as a supplement, full stop. But to your actual question: the aspirin in your combo product is already a blood thinner that keeps platelets from clumping together. In lab studies, compounds from jequirity seem to slow platelet clumping too. So in theory, pairing them could nudge your bleeding risk a little higher.

What that might look like with aspirin is easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach upset. I'll be honest though, this is only a theoretical concern from test-tube data, not real-world cases. The bigger issue here is the toxicity. Please don't use jequirity, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding anything new.

In vitro research shows that jequirity extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes. Theoretically, taking jequirity may inhibit the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.

Let me be upfront: the bigger concern with jequirity has nothing to do with this medication. The seeds contain abrin, a potent poison similar to ricin, so jequirity should not be used as a supplement at all. That alone is the real safety issue here.

As for the interaction itself, it's based only on lab (test tube) research showing jequirity may slow down a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The orphenadrine part of your combo pill leans on that enzyme, so in theory it could clear a bit slower and build up, possibly making you more drowsy, dizzy, dry-mouthed, or blurry-eyed. But this is theoretical and rated unlikely. Aspirin and caffeine aren't really driven by this pathway. Bottom line, please don't use jequirity, and check with your pharmacist or doctor.
