Esomeprazole Strontium falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Jequirity interacts with.

In vitro research shows that jequirity extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes. Theoretically, taking jequirity may inhibit the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.

First things first: jequirity seeds are genuinely poisonous (they contain abrin, a toxin in the same family as ricin), so they shouldn't be used as a supplement at all. That safety issue matters far more than any drug interaction here.

On the interaction itself, esomeprazole is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab studies (test-tube only, no human data) suggest jequirity might slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let a little more esomeprazole linger in your body, which might nudge up side effects like headache, nausea, or stomach upset. Honestly, this is a minor, theoretical concern and unlikely to cause trouble. The real takeaway is to steer clear of jequirity, and to run any supplement by your pharmacist or doctor first.
