Here's the connection worth knowing about. Masterwort contains furanocoumarins, plant chemicals that can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Your blood pressure pill hydrochlorothiazide-lisinopril can do something similar. The hydrochlorothiazide (the "water pill" part) is well known for raising sun sensitivity on its own. Stack the two together and you may sunburn faster than usual, even on a mild day, with redness, blistering, or a rash on areas the sun touches.

To be fair, this concern is based on how these things work in theory, not on strong human studies. Still, it's easy to play it safe with sunscreen, a hat, and shade. Before adding masterwort, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Brand names: Zestoretic, Prinzide

Lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide tablets — sold as the brand Zestoretic and as the generic combination — are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as stroke and heart attack.

This is a fixed-dose combination product and is not intended as a first-line (initial) treatment for high blood pressure. It is typically prescribed for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on a single medication alone.
