Moringa + Chlorpheniramine
Chlorpheniramine brand names: Chlor-Trimeton, Teldrin.
Moringa has a moderate interaction with Chlorpheniramine. Theoretically, moringa might increase or decrease levels of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Chlorpheniramine
Chlorpheniramine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Moringa interacts with.
Some in vitro research suggests that moringa inhibits cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). However, other in vitro research suggests that moringa extract induces CYP3A4 enzymes. A pharmacokinetic study in patients with HIV shows no change in the pharmacokinetics of nevirapine, which is partially metabolized by CYP3A4, when administered concomitantly with moringa leaf powder 1.85 grams daily for 14 days.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the honest picture: your body uses a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear chlorpheniramine, and moringa may nudge that enzyme in either direction depending on the study. In a test tube, some research shows moringa slowing this enzyme (which could let chlorpheniramine build up, meaning more drowsiness, dry mouth, or grogginess), while other research shows it speeding the enzyme up (which could weaken the allergy relief). That's a mixed, theoretical signal.
The reassuring part is that this is based on lab and animal data, not real-world cases, and a human study with another CYP3A4 drug showed no meaningful change. Food amounts of moringa are very unlikely to matter. If you take concentrated moringa supplements, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before combining.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Chlorpheniramine page
“An over-the-counter allergy pill sounds harmless, but chlorpheniramine (Chlor-Trimeton) has one of the longer supplement interaction lists I review, and it calls for real vigilance, with the major-rated entries the ones to understand first. Most of the list can shift how the body clears the drug: grapefruit can raise its levels while St.”

About Moringa
What is Moringa?
- Nutritional supplement
- Blood sugar support
- Cholesterol support
- Inflammation
- Skin conditions
Moringa is a nutrient-rich plant whose leaves are widely used as a food and supplement, especially in parts of the world where malnutrition is common. Early research hints at possible benefits for blood sugar, cholesterol, and inflammation, but the human evidence is limited and not strong enough to recommend it as a treatment. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using moringa, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications.
