Here's the simple version: Captopril already works to bring your blood pressure down, and there's some early research suggesting noni juice can lower blood pressure too. Put them together and those two effects may stack, so your pressure could dip a little lower than expected. That might show up as feeling dizzy or lightheaded, especially when you stand up quickly, along with tiredness or a headache.

I want to be honest about how strong this is though. The evidence here is mostly theoretical and anecdotal, not solid proof, so for many people it won't cause trouble. Still, if you'd like to use noni regularly, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first, and let them know if you notice any of those symptoms. Don't change your captopril on your own.

Theoretically, combining noni and ACE inhibitors might increase the risk of hyperkalemia.
Noni juice contains significant amounts of potassium, about 6 mEq/100 mL juice. This may increase the risk for hyperkalemia when used in conjunction with ACE inhibitors, which can also increase potassium levels.

Here's the thing to know about pairing noni with captopril: it really comes down to potassium. Captopril, like other ACE inhibitors, tends to nudge your potassium levels upward on its own. Noni juice happens to be fairly rich in potassium too (roughly 6 mEq per 100 mL). So stacking the two could push your potassium higher than you'd want, a state we call hyperkalemia.

If potassium climbs too high, you might feel tired, weak, or notice muscle aches, tingling, or an irregular heartbeat. I'll be honest though, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on anecdotal reports, not strong studies. Occasional juice is unlikely to cause trouble for most folks, but regular or concentrated noni supplements deserve a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you have kidney issues.

Noni is a tropical fruit used widely in folk medicine and sold mostly as a juice or supplement, but solid human evidence for its many claimed benefits is limited. What Is Captopril Used For?

Brand names: Capoten, Acepril

Captopril tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, and left ventricular dysfunction (weakened pumping function of the heart) in stable patients after a heart attack. For the heart attack indication, it helps improve survival and reduces the chance of developing full heart failure.

Captopril tablets are also used to slow the progression of diabetic nephropathy (kidney damage caused by diabetes) in people with type 1 (insulin-dependent) diabetes who have retinopathy and significant protein in their urine. It reduces the risk of the kidneys failing to the point of needing dialysis or a transplant.
