Cevimeline falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Rauwolscine interacts with.

Theoretically, rauwolscine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Rauwolscine is structurally related to yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.

Here's the gist for cevimeline (Evoxac). Your body relies partly on an enzyme called CYP2D6 to clear this drug out. Rauwolscine is a cousin of yohimbine, and lab studies suggest yohimbine can slow that same enzyme down. If CYP2D6 is working slower, cevimeline could linger and build up a bit, which may turn up its usual effects.

Cevimeline is not a prodrug, so more drug in the body generally means stronger cholinergic effects: extra sweating, watery eyes, nausea, an upset stomach, or a slower heart rate. I'll be honest though, this is theoretical and based only on test-tube data, so it may never cause a real-world problem. Since rauwolscine is its own stimulant, it's still worth a quick check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
