Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Drugs with CNS stimulant properties, such as phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, and diethylpropion, and many others can increase the risk of hypertension and adverse cardiovascular effects when taken with ephedrine.

Here's the piece to pay attention to: this combination product (Damason-P) contains caffeine, which is a stimulant. Sida cordifolia naturally carries ephedrine, another stimulant. Stack two stimulants together and you can get an additive jolt to the heart and blood vessels. Realistically that could mean a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, and higher blood pressure.

This concern is theoretical, based on how these ingredients work rather than strong human studies, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, because ephedrine can be potent, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, especially if you have any heart or blood pressure concerns. The aspirin and hydrocodone parts aren't the issue here.

Theoretically, Sida cordifolia might increase the risk of serious adverse effects when taken with methylxanthines.
Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Use of ephedrine-containing herbs with caffeine or other methylxanthines such as theophylline might increase the risk of stimulatory adverse effects. Some clinical research and case reports suggest that using ephedrine with caffeine might increase the risk of serious life-threatening or debilitating adverse effects such as hypertension, myocardial infarction (MI), stroke, seizures, and death.

The piece to watch here is the caffeine in your Damason-P (which also contains aspirin and the opioid hydrocodone). Sida cordifolia naturally carries ephedrine, a stimulant, and stacking two stimulants together is the real concern. When ephedrine and caffeine pile up, they can push your heart rate and blood pressure higher than either would alone.

In a worst case, case reports tie this combo to serious events like dangerous blood pressure spikes, a racing or pounding heart, chest pain, seizures, or even stroke. You might also feel jittery, anxious, or unable to sleep. The evidence here is mostly anecdotal, but the risk is taken seriously. I'd steer clear of Sida cordifolia and check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
