Methyldopa falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Spearmint interacts with.

Theoretically, high doses of spearmint might increase the risk of liver damage when taken with hepatotoxic drugs.
Animal research suggests that drinking spearmint tea for 30 days can increase markers of liver damage, including aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and cause liver degeneration and necrosis, in a dose-dependent manner. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for methyldopa (Aldomet). This blood pressure medicine can, in rare cases, be hard on the liver on its own. Spearmint has its own theoretical concern: in animal studies, large amounts of spearmint tea over about a month raised liver enzymes (AST and ALT) and caused some liver damage. So the worry is that stacking the two might add stress to the liver.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It comes from animals given concentrated doses, and it has not been seen in people. A cup of spearmint tea or spearmint in your cooking is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated spearmint supplements are where I'd be more cautious. If you take methyldopa long term, your doctor may already check your liver, so just mention any supplement you're considering.
