danicopan falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Uva Ursi interacts with.

Theoretically, uva ursi may alter the levels of drugs transported by P-glycoprotein.
In vitro, uva ursi appears to inhibit the multi-drug transporter protein, P-glycoprotein. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the situation with Voydeya (danicopan) and uva ursi. Danicopan is moved around your body partly by a little cellular pump called P-glycoprotein. In lab dish studies, uva ursi seemed to slow that pump down. If that happened in real life, a bit more danicopan could stay in your system, which in theory could nudge up its effects and side effects (things like headache, nausea, or feeling more tired).

But I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. This has only been seen in test tubes, never in actual people, and it's rated a minor concern. Culinary or short casual use is unlikely to cause trouble. Still, since danicopan is a newer specialty medicine, please run any uva ursi use past your pharmacist or doctor first.
