Triazolam falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Uva Ursi interacts with.

Theoretically, uva ursi may decrease the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro, uva ursi appears to inhibit CYP3A4. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the basic idea with Triazolam (Halcion) and uva ursi. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear triazolam out of your system. In lab studies, uva ursi seems to slow that enzyme down. If that happened in a real person, triazolam could build up and hit harder than expected, meaning more next-day grogginess, dizziness, confusion, or feeling unsteady on your feet.

The honest part: this has only been seen in test-tube studies, never confirmed in people, so it's more of a theoretical concern than something we know happens. Still, since triazolam is a strong sleep medicine, I'd run it by your pharmacist or doctor before pairing the two, especially with concentrated uva ursi supplements rather than tiny amounts.

Triazolam tablets are approved for the short-term treatment of insomnia in adults. Treatment is generally intended for 7 to 10 days. Halcion (a brand of triazolam) is specifically indicated for this same short-term use in adults.

Using triazolam for more than 2 to 3 weeks requires a full re-evaluation by your doctor to rule out an underlying medical or psychiatric condition driving the sleep problem.
