Adrafinil + Dutasteride
Dutasteride brand name: Avodart.
Adrafinil has a moderate interaction with Dutasteride. Theoretically, adrafanil might reduce levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Dutasteride
Dutasteride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Adrafinil interacts with.
Adrafinil is a precursor to the stimulant prescription drug modafinil. Modafinil has been shown to weakly induce CYP3A4 activity.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for Avodart (dutasteride). When your liver turns adrafinil into modafinil, that modafinil can act as a mild booster of an enzyme called CYP3A4, one of the main pathways your body uses to break dutasteride down. If that pathway speeds up even a little, your body may clear dutasteride a bit faster, which in theory could leave you with slightly lower levels and a weaker effect on your prostate symptoms over time.
I want to be honest about how soft this is. It's a theoretical concern based on how these drugs work, not real-world reports, and the enzyme effect is weak. Dutasteride also works slowly over months, so any small shift would be hard to notice quickly. Still, before combining them, check in with your pharmacist or doctor.

- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.

About Dutasteride
What Is Dutasteride Used For?
Brand name: Avodart
Dutasteride capsules are used to treat symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate — in men. Treatment can help improve urinary symptoms, lower the risk of sudden urinary retention (being completely unable to urinate), and reduce the likelihood of needing BPH-related surgery.
Dutasteride capsules can also be used in combination with tamsulosin (an alpha-blocker) to treat symptomatic BPH in men with an enlarged prostate. Importantly, dutasteride is not approved for the prevention of prostate cancer.
