Theoretically, adrafinil might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2C19 substrates.
Adrafinil is a precursor to the stimulant prescription drug modafinil. Modafinil has been shown to inhibit CYP2C19 activity in vitro.

Vimovo is a combo pill: esomeprazole (an acid-reducer) plus naproxen (an anti-inflammatory). The esomeprazole part is handled in the liver partly by an enzyme called CYP2C19. Adrafinil turns into modafinil in your body, and modafinil can gently slow that same enzyme down, at least in lab studies.

If that happens, esomeprazole could build up a bit and stick around longer. That isn't usually dangerous, since this drug is well tolerated, but you might notice things like headache or stomach upset. Keep in mind this is theoretical only, based on how the drugs behave in the lab, not real patient reports. Still, since adrafinil is unregulated and tough on the liver, I'd run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Here's the idea behind this flag: once your liver turns adrafinil into modafinil, that modafinil may gently speed up an enzyme called CYP1A2, which helps break down certain drugs. If that enzyme runs faster, levels of the affected medication could dip a bit, possibly making it work less well.

I want to be honest with you, though: this is a theoretical concern based on lab data, not real patient reports, and the effect on CYP1A2 looks weak. Vimovo combines naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) with esomeprazole (a stomach-acid blocker). The naproxen part is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Lab studies hint that modafinil, which your body makes from adrafinil, may slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened, naproxen could build up slightly and hang around longer.

In real terms, that might mean a bit more of naproxen's usual side effects, like stomach upset, heartburn, fluid retention, or, with heavy or long-term use, stomach irritation and kidney strain. Keep in mind this is theoretical, based only on test-tube data, so it may not amount to much in everyday life. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
