Dulaglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Cajeput Oil interacts with.

Animal studies suggest that cajeput oil might have hypoglycemic effects. Theoretically, taking cajeput oil with antidiabetes drugs could increase the risk for additive hypoglycemia. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, and others.

Here's the gist for Trulicity (dulaglutide) and cajeput oil. In animal studies, cajeput oil seemed to nudge blood sugar a little lower on its own. Dulaglutide already works to bring your blood sugar down, so stacking the two could, in theory, push your numbers lower than you want. That might show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, irritability, or feeling lightheaded.

I want to be honest about the evidence: this is based on lab and animal work, not solid human studies, so it's more of a 'keep an eye out' than an alarm. Dulaglutide alone rarely causes lows unless you're also on insulin or a sulfonylurea. If you do use cajeput oil, just check your blood sugar a bit more closely and loop in your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
