Cajeput Oil + Methamphetamine

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Methamphetamine
Methamphetamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Cajeput Oil interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: prescription methamphetamine (Desoxyn) is partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Lab studies hint that cajeput oil may slow that enzyme down by roughly a third. If that happened in your body, your methamphetamine could clear a little more slowly and build up, which might mean a stronger, longer effect. With a stimulant, that could show up as a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling wound up.
That said, this is only a theoretical concern based on test-tube research, not real people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Inhaling a little aroma is very different from a concentrated dose. Still, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
