Adalimumab-Adaz falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Ceylon Leadwort interacts with.

Plumbagin, a constituent of Ceylon leadwort, has demonstrated immunosuppressant activity in animal research. Theoretically, Ceylon leadwort might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy. Immunosuppressant drugs include azathioprine (Imuran), basiliximab (Simulect), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), daclizumab (Zenapax), muromonab-CD3 (OKT3, Orthoclone OKT3), mycophenolate (CellCept), tacrolimus (FK506, Prograf), sirolimus (Rapamune), prednisone (Deltasone, Orasone), corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), and others.

Adalimumab-Adaz (Hyrimoz) is a biologic that calms an overactive immune system by blocking a signaling protein called TNF, which is how it helps with conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, and psoriasis. The concern here is interesting: in lab and animal studies, the plumbagin in Ceylon Leadwort has shown its own immune-dampening effects. On paper, layering two things that quiet the immune system could push your immune response down further than intended.

I want to be honest, though: this is theoretical and based only on test-tube and animal data, so we really don't know if it matters in people. Still, since Hyrimoz already raises infection risk, I'd skip the supplement until you check with your doctor or pharmacist. Please don't change your Hyrimoz on your own.

Ceylon Leadwort (Plumbago zeylanica) is a plant long used in Ayurvedic and other traditional medicine systems, mainly for digestion, skin problems, and pain. Solid human studies are lacking, and the plant contains plumbagin, a compound that can irritate skin and tissues and may be unsafe in larger amounts.
