Amobarbital, Secobarbital falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2B6 (CYP2B6) SUBSTRATES — the group Ceylon Leadwort interacts with.

Plumbagin, a constituent of Ceylon leadwort, has been shown to inhibit cytochrome P450 2B6 (CYP2B6) in vitro. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans. Theoretically, Ceylon leadwort might increase the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2B6. Drugs that are metabolized by CYP2B6 include ketamine (Ketalar), phenobarbital, orphenadrine (Norflex), secobarbital (Seconal), and dexamethasone (Decadron).

Tuinal combines two barbiturates, amobarbital and secobarbital, that your body partly clears using a liver enzyme called CYP2B6. In a lab dish, plumbagin (the active compound in Ceylon Leadwort) slowed that enzyme down. If the same thing happened in people, these barbiturates could clear a bit more slowly and build up, which might mean more drowsiness, deeper sedation, slower or shallower breathing, confusion, or feeling hung over the next day.

Here's the honest part: this is only seen in test-tube studies, never reported in real patients, so it stays theoretical for now. Still, barbiturates leave little room for error, so please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them rather than guessing.
