Why this applies to Anacaulase-bcdb

Anacaulase-bcdb falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Ceylon Leadwort interacts with.

There is some concern that Ceylon leadwort might potentiate the effects of anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs and possibly increase the risk of bleeding. Ceylon leadwort root extract has been shown to decrease platelet adhesion and prolong bleeding in animals. However, this effect has not yet been demonstrated in humans. Until more is known, use cautiously in patients taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs. Some of these drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

Here's the situation with NexoBrid (anacaulase-bcdb). This isn't a pill you swallow. It's an enzyme gel made from pineapple-derived bromelain that surgeons apply directly to severe burns to dissolve away dead, burned tissue (called eschar). One known concern with this product is that it can affect blood clotting and may raise bleeding risk at the wound site.

Ceylon Leadwort, in animal studies, also thinned the blood a bit by making platelets less sticky and prolonging bleeding. That same direction stacks on top of NexoBrid's effect, so in theory it could mean more oozing or bleeding from the treated burn. I'll be honest though, this is lab and animal evidence only, not proven in people. Since NexoBrid is given in a hospital, just make sure your care team knows about any supplement you take.
