Rabeprazole Sodium falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Chlorophyllin interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of chlorophyllin with photosensitizing drugs may have additive effects.
Chlorophyllin is a semi-synthetic derivative of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll has been reported to cause photosensitization. Orally, chlorophyll has also been associated with the development of pseudoporphyria in multiple case reports.

Here's the gist: rabeprazole (Aciphex) is on a list of medicines that can make your skin a little more sensitive to sunlight. Chlorophyllin may do the same thing, so taking them together could, in theory, add up and leave your skin more prone to sunburn or a rash after time outdoors. This isn't about how rabeprazole controls your stomach acid, and chlorophyllin doesn't change how your body clears the drug, so your heartburn or reflux treatment should still work the same.

Honestly, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on weak reports, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just use everyday sun sense (sunscreen, a hat, limited midday sun) and watch for any unusual skin reaction. If you notice one, or you have questions, check in with your pharmacist or doctor.

The best evidence is for its use as a deodorizing agent, while many popular claims like detoxification and digestive benefits are not well proven. About Rabeprazole

What Is Rabeprazole Used For?

Brand names: Aciphex, Aciphex Sprinkle

Rabeprazole delayed-release tablets treat a range of acid-related conditions in adults, including healing and maintenance of erosive or ulcerative GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), symptomatic GERD, duodenal ulcers, and pathological hypersecretory conditions such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. They are also used alongside antibiotics (amoxicillin and clarithromycin) to eradicate H. pylori bacteria and reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer coming back.

In adolescents 12 years and older, rabeprazole delayed-release tablets are approved for short-term treatment of symptomatic GERD. Both AcipHex and Rabeprazole Sodium delayed-release tablets share this indication set for adults and adolescents 12 and older.
