Here's the basic idea with tadalafil (Cialis) and devil's claw. Your body clears tadalafil mainly through a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab studies hint that devil's claw might slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened in real life, tadalafil could linger longer and feel stronger, meaning a higher chance of its usual side effects like headache, facial flushing, stuffy nose, back pain, or lightheadedness, especially when standing up.

I want to be honest, though: this is theoretical, based only on test-tube research, and it hasn't been shown to actually happen in people. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, if you take tadalafil and are thinking about devil's claw, a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor is the smart move.

About Tadalafil

What Is Tadalafil Used For?

Brand names: Cialis, Tadliq

Tadalafil tablets (including Cialis and generic tadalafil) are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH — an enlarged prostate), or both conditions together. When used with the drug finasteride to start BPH treatment, this combination is recommended for up to 26 weeks.

Adcirca, Alyq (tablets), and Tadliq (oral suspension) are indicated specifically for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH — high blood pressure in the lungs), to improve the ability to exercise.
