Ribociclib Succinate falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Epistane interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might have additive adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Epistane is an anabolic androgenic steroid, and more specifically a 17-alpha-alkylated androgen. Therefore, there is concern that epistane has hepatotoxic effects. Also, epistane is structurally similar to epitiostanol, which has been associated with hepatotixicity in a case series of four patients.

Here's the concern with pairing these two. Ribociclib (Kisqali) is a cancer medicine that can already be hard on your liver, and your oncology team watches your liver blood tests closely while you take it. Epistane is a methylated anabolic steroid that is well known to stress the liver too. Put them together and you may simply be doubling up on liver strain.

This warning is theoretical, based on how both substances behave rather than reported cases of the combo, so I don't want to alarm you. But it's a real worry because liver injury can quietly show up as fatigue, nausea, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes. Honestly, Epistane isn't something I'd recommend to anyone. Please talk with your oncologist before mixing these.

What Is Ribociclib Used For?

Brand name: Kisqali

Kisqali (ribociclib) tablets are used in adults with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. For early breast cancer (stage II or III, at high risk of coming back), Kisqali is given alongside an aromatase inhibitor as adjuvant treatment — meaning treatment after initial surgery to reduce the risk of the cancer returning.

For advanced or metastatic breast cancer (cancer that has spread), Kisqali is used in combination with either an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant — as the first hormonal treatment tried, or after the cancer has grown despite prior hormone therapy.
