Anacaulase-bcdb falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Jackfruit interacts with.

Theoretically, jackfruit latex might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Jackfruit latex, which is the sap from jackfruit bark, contains chemicals that might increase the risk of bleeding. In vitro research shows that jackfruit latex contains a glycoprotein constituent that prolongs the activated partial thrombin time (aPTT) and reduces the activity of blood coagulation factors XIa and alpha-XIIa. Jackfruit latex also contains a protease constituent that has been shown to have fibrinolytic activity in vitro. Other parts of jackfruit, including the fruit and leaves, have not been shown to contain chemicals with fibrinolytic and anticoagulant activity.

Here's the thing about NexoBrid (anacaulase-bcdb): it isn't a pill you swallow. It's an enzyme gel applied directly onto severe burn wounds to dissolve and remove dead tissue. Because it works right at the wound surface, one known concern is a little extra oozing or bleeding from the treated area.

The flag we have on file is purely theoretical and grouped with blood thinners. In lab dishes (not in people), jackfruit latex, the sticky sap from the bark, showed some clot-slowing activity. The ordinary jackfruit you eat does not appear to do this, so enjoying the fruit is not the issue. To be safe, just don't put raw jackfruit sap on or near a healing burn, and let your wound care team know about any supplements you use.
