Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
BETA-ADRENERGIC AGONISTS
Why this applies to Olodaterol Hydrochloride
Olodaterol Hydrochloride falls under BETA-ADRENERGIC AGONISTS — the group Oolong Tea interacts with.
Oolong tea contains caffeine. Caffeine can increase cardiac inotropic effects of beta-agonists.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Olodaterol (Striverdi Respimat) is a long-acting bronchodilator you breathe in to keep your airways open in COPD. It belongs to the beta-agonist family, and one of its known side effects is a little extra push on the heart, things like a faster heartbeat, palpitations, or a jittery feeling.
Here's where oolong tea comes in. It has caffeine, which is also a mild stimulant for the heart. So in theory, drinking a lot of oolong could add to that effect and make those heart-related feelings more noticeable. I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how caffeine and beta-agonists work, not strong real-world data. A normal cup or two is unlikely to cause trouble for most people. If you notice your heart racing or feel shaky, or you have heart concerns, check in with your pharmacist or doctor.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Olodaterol Hydrochloride page
“Olodaterol (Striverdi Respimat) is a long-acting inhaled bronchodilator for COPD, and because it stimulates beta receptors in the heart as well as the lungs, its supplement list deserves more than a quick skim. Seven of the 147 interacting ingredients are rated major, and most of those, ephedra among them, can prolong the QT interval,…”

- Weight management
- Mental alertness and energy
- Heart health
- Blood sugar support
- Antioxidant support
Oolong tea is a traditional partially oxidized tea made from the same plant as green and black tea, and it provides caffeine and plant antioxidants.
