Binimetinib falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Some clinical research shows that ostarine can increase alanine aminotransferase, a marker of liver damage, in some patients. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that supplements containing SARMs, such as ostarine, have been associated with reports of liver toxicity and there are at least two reports of drug-induced liver injury attributed to the use of ostarine.

Here's the thing to know about pairing these two: Binimetinib (Mektovi) can already be hard on your liver. Doctors actually check your liver enzymes before and during treatment because this drug can raise them and, in some cases, cause real liver injury. Ostarine is a SARM, not a true supplement, and it has been linked to its own liver problems, including raised ALT levels and even reports of drug-induced liver injury.

So the worry here isn't about one drug changing how the other is broken down. It's simpler than that: two liver-stressing things at once may add up and raise your risk. This concern is based on how these substances behave, not on direct studies of the combo. Still, with a serious cancer drug like binimetinib, please don't add Ostarine without talking to your oncologist or pharmacist first.

What Is Binimetinib Used For?

Brand name: Mektovi

Mektovi (binimetinib) is used in combination with another medicine called encorafenib. Together, they treat unresectable (cannot be surgically removed) or metastatic (spread to other parts of the body) melanoma in patients whose tumors have a BRAF V600E or V600K mutation, as confirmed by an FDA-approved test.

Mektovi, used with encorafenib, is also approved for adult patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that carries a BRAF V600E mutation, again confirmed by an FDA-approved test. In both cases, testing for the specific mutation is required before starting treatment.
