Trimipramine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, ostarine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9, although clinical research suggests this is not clinically relevant.
Although in vitro research suggests that ostarine inhibits CYP2C9, more robust clinical research shows that ostarine does not significantly affect CYP2C9.

Here's the gist for Trimipramine (Surmontil). The concern on file is that Ostarine might block a liver enzyme called CYP2C9, which is one of the enzymes that helps clear this antidepressant. In theory, slowing that enzyme could let trimipramine build up a bit, which might mean more of its usual side effects like drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, or feeling lightheaded when you stand up.

The reassuring part: this is mostly a lab-dish finding. Better human research suggests Ostarine does not meaningfully affect CYP2C9, so this interaction is rated minor and unlikely. Honestly, my bigger worry is Ostarine itself, since it's an unapproved SARM tied to liver injury. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

What Is Trimipramine Used For?

Brand names: Surmontil, Trimip, Rhotrimine, Tripramine, Trimp

Trimipramine capsules are indicated for the relief of symptoms of depression. Endogenous depression — depression that arises from within, rather than from an obvious outside cause — is more likely to respond to treatment than other types.

In clinical studies, trimipramine worked as well as imipramine in hospitalized patients with depression, and was comparable to amitriptyline in less severely depressed outpatients.
