Formoterol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, ostarine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9, although clinical research suggests this is not clinically relevant.
Although in vitro research suggests that ostarine inhibits CYP2C9, more robust clinical research shows that ostarine does not significantly affect CYP2C9.

Here's the short version for your inhaler: on paper, Ostarine can block a liver enzyme called CYP2C9, and that's the enzyme being flagged with Formoterol. If that blocking were strong, Formoterol could build up and you might notice more of its typical effects, like a racing or pounding heart, shaky hands, headache, or muscle cramps. Formoterol is the active drug itself, not a prodrug, so an enzyme block would push it up, not down.

The reassuring part: this is mostly a theoretical lab finding. Better human research suggests Ostarine doesn't meaningfully change CYP2C9 in real life, so a true interaction is unlikely. That said, Ostarine is an unapproved SARM linked to liver harm, so please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything with it.

About Formoterol Oral Inhalation

What Is Formoterol Oral Inhalation Used For?

Brand names: Foradil Aerolizer, Atimos Modulite, Oxis Turbohaler, Perforomist, Foradil Certihaler

Formoterol fumarate inhalation solution is used for the long-term maintenance treatment of airway narrowing (bronchoconstriction) in adults with COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is taken twice daily — morning and evening — as a regular, ongoing treatment.

Important limits: This medication is not for relieving sudden COPD flare-ups or breathlessness in the moment, and it is not approved to treat asthma. A separate short-acting inhaler should always be on hand for sudden symptoms.
