Ostarine + Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen brand names: Motrin, Children's Motrin, Advil, Children's Advil, Fenbid Forte Gel, and others.
Ostarine has a minor interaction with Ibuprofen. Theoretically, ostarine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9, although clinical research suggests this is not clinically relevant.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Ostarine interacts with.
Although in vitro research suggests that ostarine inhibits CYP2C9, more robust clinical research shows that ostarine does not significantly affect CYP2C9.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the short version: your body clears ibuprofen mainly through a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In a test tube, Ostarine looked like it might slow that enzyme down, which in theory could let ibuprofen build up a bit and nudge up the usual risks like stomach upset, heartburn, or kidney strain. But the better-quality human research doesn't back that up. In real people, Ostarine doesn't seem to meaningfully change how ibuprofen is handled.
So this one is mostly a paper concern, not a practical one. Ibuprofen is not a prodrug, so it doesn't get flipped around here. The bigger issue, honestly, is that Ostarine itself is an unapproved SARM linked to liver injury. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ibuprofen page
“Most people treat ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) as an everyday pain reliever, which is exactly why this list of 286 interacting supplements deserves real attention rather than a shrug. The dominant pattern by far is bleeding: 202 of these ingredients can add to the bleeding and stomach irritation ibuprofen already causes, and the seven maj…”

About Ostarine
What is Ostarine?
- Muscle building
- Athletic performance
- Fat loss / body recomposition
- Bodybuilding cycles
Ostarine (also called MK-2866 or enobosarm) is an experimental, unapproved drug known as a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator), not a true dietary supplement. It is not approved by the FDA, is banned in sports, and has been linked to liver injury and other serious harms, so it is not recommended for general use.
About Ibuprofen
What Is Ibuprofen Used For?
Brand names: Motrin, Children's Motrin, Advil, Children's Advil, Fenbid Forte Gel, Ibugel Forte, Arthrofen, Ebufac, Rimafen, Calprofen, Fenpaed, Galprofen, Nurofen for Children, Orbifen for Children, Brufen, Brufen Retard, Fenbid, Tab-Profen, Ibuprofen, Calodor
Oral ibuprofen products (tablets, coated tablets, and liquid-filled capsules) are used to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains from headache, backache, toothache, muscular aches, menstrual cramps, minor arthritis pain, and the common cold, and to temporarily reduce fever. The oral prescription tablet (Ibu) is also indicated for the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, mild to moderate pain, and primary dysmenorrhea (painful periods).
Caldolor, an intravenous (IV) form, is approved for adults and children 3 months and older to manage mild to moderate pain, to manage moderate to severe pain alongside opioid pain medicines, and to reduce fever. A separate intravenous solution, Ibuprofen Lysine, is used specifically in premature infants to close a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) — an abnormal blood vessel connection near the heart — when standard medical management has not worked.

Ibuprofen Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Ibuprofen as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Ostarine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
