Clomipramine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, ostarine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9, although clinical research suggests this is not clinically relevant.
Although in vitro research suggests that ostarine inhibits CYP2C9, more robust clinical research shows that ostarine does not significantly affect CYP2C9.

Here's the short version: on paper, Ostarine can block a liver enzyme called CYP2C9, which helps process Clomipramine (Anafranil). If that enzyme were slowed, Clomipramine levels could creep up, which might mean more of its usual side effects like dry mouth, constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, or a faster heartbeat. Clomipramine isn't a prodrug, so more drug in your system would mean stronger effects, not weaker ones.

The reassuring part is that better-quality human studies show Ostarine doesn't really change CYP2C9 in a meaningful way, so this concern stays mostly theoretical. My bigger worry is Ostarine itself, since it's unapproved and linked to liver injury. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Clomipramine — sold as Anafranil and under the generic name Clomipramine Hydrochloride — is approved to treat obsessions and compulsions in people with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This includes adults and children/adolescents ages 10 to 17.

To qualify for treatment, the obsessions or compulsions must cause significant distress, take up a lot of time, or noticeably interfere with work, school, or social life.
