Ostarine + Glipizide
Glipizide brand names: Glucotrol, Glucotrol XL.
Ostarine has a minor interaction with Glipizide. Theoretically, ostarine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9, although clinical research suggests this is not clinically relevant.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Glipizide
Glipizide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Ostarine interacts with.
Although in vitro research suggests that ostarine inhibits CYP2C9, more robust clinical research shows that ostarine does not significantly affect CYP2C9.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the gist for glipizide and Ostarine. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2C9 to clear glipizide out of your system. In a test tube, Ostarine looked like it might slow that enzyme down, which in theory could let glipizide build up and push your blood sugar too low. Low blood sugar can leave you shaky, sweaty, dizzy, confused, or even faint.
The reassuring part: better human studies suggest Ostarine does not meaningfully block CYP2C9, so this concern stays mostly theoretical and unlikely to cause trouble. My bigger worry is Ostarine itself, since this SARM is unapproved and has been tied to liver injury. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing the two.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Glipizide page
“Glipizide (Glucotrol, Glucotrol XL) lowers blood sugar by prompting the pancreas to release more insulin, and that same power is why I read its supplement list with real seriousness. Of the 307 ingredients on file, 239 also act on blood glucose, so stacking them can drive sugar dangerously low.”

About Ostarine
What is Ostarine?
- Muscle building
- Athletic performance
- Fat loss / body recomposition
- Bodybuilding cycles
Ostarine (also called MK-2866 or enobosarm) is an experimental, unapproved drug known as a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator), not a true dietary supplement. It is not approved by the FDA, is banned in sports, and has been linked to liver injury and other serious harms, so it is not recommended for general use.
About Glipizide

Glipizide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Glipizide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Ostarine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
