Valproic Acid falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Some clinical research shows that ostarine can increase alanine aminotransferase, a marker of liver damage, in some patients. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that supplements containing SARMs, such as ostarine, have been associated with reports of liver toxicity and there are at least two reports of drug-induced liver injury attributed to the use of ostarine.

Here's the thing to know about pairing these two: valproic acid is already a medication that can be tough on the liver. It's a well-known cause of elevated liver enzymes, and in rare cases more serious liver injury. Ostarine, the SARM you're asking about, has also been tied to liver damage and raised ALT levels (a blood marker of liver stress) in some people. So this isn't about one drug changing how the other is broken down. It's that both can stress the liver, and stacking them may add up.

I'll be honest, this concern is theoretical and based on how these substances behave, not on hard studies of the two together. Still, watch for signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

What Is Valproic Acid Used For?

Brand names: Depakene, Depacon, Valproate

Valproic acid capsules (brands Valproic and Valproic Acid) and valproic acid oral solution (brand Valproic Acid) are both used to treat epilepsy. Specifically, they are approved for complex partial seizures (either alone or with other seizure types) as monotherapy or add-on therapy, and for simple and complex absence seizures as sole therapy or add-on therapy.

Both forms are intended for adults and pediatric patients. Always follow your prescriber's guidance on which product and regimen is right for you.
