Ostarine + Gabapentin
Gabapentin brand names: Neurontin, Gralise.
We found no known interaction between Ostarine and Gabapentin in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Ostarine and Gabapentin
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Gabapentin and Ostarine in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Gabapentin
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Gabapentin is filed under 4 classifications — including anticonvulsants, cns depressants, oral drugs. Ostarine has documented interactions with 6 drug classes — the most serious being cytochrome p450 3a4 (cyp3a4) inducers (moderate), hepatotoxic drugs (moderate) and probenecid (benemid) (moderate) — and none of Gabapentin’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.
Ostarine Does Interact With Other Medications
Ostarine has 440 moderate, 171 minor known drug interactions in our database — Gabapentin isn’t one of them. If you take anything else, check it against the full list below.

These are real questions from readers, answered by the pharmacists at HelloPharmacist — written by a person, not generated from a database. From our pharmacist’s overview on the Gabapentin page
“Gabapentin (Neurontin, Gralise) calms overactive nerves, which means it already slows your nervous system down, and that is exactly what 78 of the 106 supplements on this list also do. So the dominant risk here is sedation stacked on sedation, extra drowsiness at best and dangerously slowed breathing at worst, and with seven entries ra…”

Where does our data come from?
- Source: the Natural Medicines (TRC Healthcare) clinical database — the evidence-graded professional reference for herb & supplement interactions.
- Citation library: 103,510 references behind our interaction content, 65,311 of them resolved to verified PubMed/DOI sources. See every Ostarine reference on this page ↓
- Freshness: we automatically re-check this combination every week — this pair was last verified September 13, 2026. The Ostarine and Gabapentin records this page draws on were last updated July 10, 2026.
- What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Ostarine
What is Ostarine?
- Muscle building
- Athletic performance
- Fat loss / body recomposition
- Bodybuilding cycles
Ostarine (also called MK-2866 or enobosarm) is an experimental, unapproved drug known as a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator), not a true dietary supplement. It is not approved by the FDA, is banned in sports, and has been linked to liver injury and other serious harms, so it is not recommended for general use.
Synthetic compound (not from a plant) · Capsules, tablets, liquids, powders sold as research chemicals or 'sports supplements'
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Ostarine is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Ostarine record says about it on its own.
Ostarine: dosing
There is no established safe or approved dose of Ostarine, because it is not an approved medicine or a legitimate dietary supplement. Doses used in research studies were given under medical supervision and do not apply to over-the-counter use.We do not recommend using Ostarine. Products sold online may not contain the dose listed on the label and may include other hidden substances.

About Gabapentin
What Is Gabapentin Used For?
Brand names: Neurontin, Gralise
Gabapentin (brands include Neurontin, Relgaabi, Gabarone, Gralise, and Horizant) is primarily used to manage postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) — the nerve pain that lingers after a shingles outbreak — in adults. Neurontin, Relgaabi, Gabarone, and gabapentin capsules, tablets, and oral solution are also used as add-on therapy for partial onset seizures (a type of epilepsy) in adults and children aged 3 and older.
Horizant (gabapentin enacarbil extended-release tablet) has two specific approvals: treatment of moderate-to-severe primary restless legs syndrome (RLS) in adults, and management of postherpetic neuralgia in adults. Horizant is not recommended for people who need to sleep during the day and stay awake at night. Gralise is approved only for postherpetic neuralgia and cannot be substituted for other gabapentin products due to its different release profile.
Most-Reported Side Effects for Gabapentin
From FAERS, the FDA’s public side-effect reporting system (361,481 reports, all brands). Reports are voluntary and are not proof the drug caused the effect.

Gabapentin Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Gabapentin as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Ostarine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
