Puravive contains Panax ginseng. Clinical studies indicate that Panax ginseng may lower blood sugar levels. One study (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25015735/) found that supplementation with Panax ginseng led to a significant decrease in post-meal glucose levels and an increase in post-meal insulin levels compared to a placebo. If you are taking medications that lower blood sugar, it's important to monitor your blood glucose levels closely when using Panax ginseng.

Here's the thing to keep an eye on with Jardiance (empagliflozin) and Puravive. Puravive contains Panax ginseng, and some research suggests ginseng can gently lower blood sugar on its own. Since Jardiance already works to bring your blood sugar down (by sending extra sugar out through your urine), stacking the two could add up and push your numbers a little lower than expected.

This is rated a minor interaction, so it's usually not dangerous, just worth watching. If your blood sugar drifts too low, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, or unusually tired. About Empagliflozin

What Is Empagliflozin Used For?

Brand name: Jardiance

Jardiance (empagliflozin) tablets are approved for several important uses in adults. It reduces the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization in adults with heart failure. It also slows the progression of chronic kidney disease by reducing the risk of serious kidney decline, end-stage kidney disease, cardiovascular death, and hospitalization. In adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease, Jardiance reduces the risk of cardiovascular death.

Jardiance is also used — alongside diet and exercise — to improve blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes in adults and children aged 10 and older. It is not recommended for blood sugar control in type 1 diabetes (it may raise the risk of a dangerous condition called diabetic ketoacidosis) or in type 2 diabetes patients with severely reduced kidney function.
