Puravive + Ofloxacin
Ofloxacin brand names: Oflox, Floxin, Floxin Injection, Floxin Otic.
Puravive has a minor interaction with Ofloxacin. Puravive contains quercetin. The simultaneous use of quercetin and OATP substrates (the drug in question in this interaction is reported to be an OATP substrate) may theoretically enhance their effects and adverse effects.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
Organic Anion-Transporting Polypeptide Substrates (Oatp)
Why this applies to Ofloxacin
Ofloxacin falls under Organic Anion-Transporting Polypeptide Substrates (Oatp) — the group Puravive interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the short version: Puravive contains quercetin, a plant compound that can mildly block a transporter called OATP, which helps move certain drugs in and out of your body. Ofloxacin is one of those drugs the transporter handles. In theory, slowing that transporter could let a bit more ofloxacin linger in your system, which might slightly raise the chance of its usual side effects, things like nausea, headache, dizziness, or stomach upset.
That said, the evidence here is weak and mostly theoretical. Ofloxacin is not a prodrug, so it still works the same way; we're only talking about a small possible bump in drug levels. For most people this won't cause trouble, but since Puravive is unproven and you're fighting an infection, it's worth a quick check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Puravive
What is Puravive?
- Weight management
- Metabolism support
- Energy levels
- General wellness
- Stress and brain health
Puravive is a branded, multi-ingredient capsule marketed mainly for weight loss by claiming to boost brown fat activity, but there is no published, independent clinical research showing the product itself works for this purpose. Some individual ingredients have been studied in laboratory or small human studies, but those results do not prove the finished blend is safe or effective. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before trying it, especially if you have health conditions or take medications.
About Ofloxacin
What Is Ofloxacin Used For?
Brand names: Oflox, Floxin, Floxin Injection, Floxin Otic
Ofloxacin is used in several different forms, each approved for specific infections. The otic (ear) solution treats outer ear infections (otitis externa) in patients 6 months and older, chronic middle ear infections with a ruptured eardrum (chronic suppurative otitis media) in patients 12 and older, and acute middle ear infections in children 1 year and older who have ear tubes. The ophthalmic (eye) solution — including the brand Ocuflox — treats bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and bacterial corneal ulcers.
Ofloxacin oral tablets treat adults with mild to moderate bacterial infections including community-acquired pneumonia, skin and skin structure infections, gonorrhea, chlamydial infections of the urethra or cervix, mixed urethral/cervical infections, and acute pelvic inflammatory disease. The oral tablet is also used for acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis and uncomplicated cystitis, but only when no other treatment options are available, due to serious risk concerns with this drug class.
