Stimulant Drugs
Why this applies to Ephedrine Sulfate, Hydroxyzine, Theophylline
Ephedrine Sulfate, Hydroxyzine, Theophylline falls under Stimulant Drugs — the group Puravive interacts with.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the gist for your combination product. Puravive contains Panax ginseng, which has shown mild stimulant-like activity in a few studies. Your medication already includes two stimulating pieces: ephedrine (a decongestant and stimulant) and theophylline (which opens airways but also revs you up). Stacking a mild stimulant herb on top could, in theory, add a little extra push, meaning a faster heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or a rise in blood pressure.
That said, the evidence here is weak and this is rated a minor, unlikely concern. For most people it won't cause real trouble. Still, since theophylline can be touchy at higher levels and ephedrine raises blood pressure, it's worth a quick check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Puravive.

About Puravive
What is Puravive?
- Weight management
- Metabolism support
- Energy levels
- General wellness
- Stress and brain health
Puravive is a branded, multi-ingredient capsule marketed mainly for weight loss by claiming to boost brown fat activity, but there is no published, independent clinical research showing the product itself works for this purpose. Some individual ingredients have been studied in laboratory or small human studies, but those results do not prove the finished blend is safe or effective. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before trying it, especially if you have health conditions or take medications.
