These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Sida Cordifolia interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Caffeine falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Sida Cordifolia in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Major).
STIMULANT DRUGS
1 of 2Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine
Aspirin, Caffeine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Sida Cordifolia interacts with.
Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Drugs with CNS stimulant properties, such as phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, and diethylpropion, and many others can increase the risk of hypertension and adverse cardiovascular effects when taken with ephedrine.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the thing to keep in mind with a product like Anacin: it pairs aspirin with caffeine, and caffeine is itself a stimulant. Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, which is also a stimulant. When you stack two stimulants together, their effects can pile up. That means a faster heartbeat, a jittery or anxious feeling, trouble sleeping, and a possible bump in blood pressure.
This warning is based mostly on how these ingredients work rather than on hard human studies, so it's more of a theoretical, play-it-safe concern. Still, because both can stress the heart, I'd take it seriously, especially if you have high blood pressure or any heart condition. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

METHYLXANTHINES
2 of 2Aspirin, Caffeine also falls under METHYLXANTHINES.
Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Use of ephedrine-containing herbs with caffeine or other methylxanthines such as theophylline might increase the risk of stimulatory adverse effects. Some clinical research and case reports suggest that using ephedrine with caffeine might increase the risk of serious life-threatening or debilitating adverse effects such as hypertension, myocardial infarction (MI), stroke, seizures, and death.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the thing to know about Anacin: besides aspirin, it contains caffeine, which is a stimulant. Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, another stimulant. When you stack two stimulants together, their effects can add up in a way that's hard on your heart and blood vessels. We're talking faster heartbeat, a noticeable jump in blood pressure, jitteriness, and trouble sleeping. In more serious (though rarer) cases, the combination of ephedrine and caffeine has been linked to dangerous events like irregular heart rhythms, very high blood pressure, and even heart attack or stroke.
To be fair, this warning leans mostly on case reports rather than large studies, so the picture isn't ironclad. Still, because the downside can be severe, I'd play it safe and check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing these two.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Caffeine page
“Anacin combines aspirin with caffeine, so supplements can hit it from two directions, and a few of the 347 on this list deserve real respect. The biggest group, over 200 ingredients, can raise bleeding risk on top of aspirin's blood-thinning effect; beer and wine carry major ratings because alcohol plus an aspirin-type drug makes stoma…”

About Sida Cordifolia
What is Sida Cordifolia?
- Weight loss and energy
- Asthma and breathing problems
- Joint and muscle pain
- Fever and cough
- General fatigue or 'tonic'
Sida cordifolia (bala or country mallow) is a traditional Ayurvedic plant that naturally contains ephedrine, a powerful stimulant. Because of this, many supplements containing it have been banned or restricted, and it carries real risks to the heart and blood pressure. There is little reliable human evidence that it works, so most people should avoid it and talk with a pharmacist or doctor first.
