Neomycin, an antibiotic often taken by mouth to clear bacteria from the gut, is already known for straining the kidneys, and that is where the most serious supplement interactions on this list hit. Siberian cocklebur and asarabacca (a plant often contaminated with kidney-damaging aristolochic acid) can pile their own kidney harm on top of neomycin's, while activated charcoal can soak up the drug and weaken its effect. Treat those three as the ones to rule out first, and be genuinely careful here rather than casual.

The rest of the list is gentler and mostly about timing. Probiotic products contain live organisms that an antibiotic can kill, so they lose their benefit if swallowed alongside a dose; spacing them well apart solves most of it.
