Esomeprazole, Naproxen falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Bacopa interacts with.
Research on the effects of bacopa extracts on CYP1A2 enzymes is conflicting. Some in vitro evidence shows that bacopa extract can moderately and non-competitively inhibit CYP1A2, while other in vitro evidence suggests that any effect is unlikely to be clinically significant.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Vimovo combines esomeprazole (a stomach acid reducer) with naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever). The concern here is mostly theoretical. In lab dishes, bacopa may slow down a liver enzyme called CYP1A2, and if that happened in the body it could let some drugs build up a bit and cause more side effects.
Honestly, this is pretty weak evidence, and the studies even disagree with each other. For naproxen, higher levels could mean more stomach irritation, heartburn, or fluid retention, though the esomeprazole half helps protect your stomach. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but if you take this combo daily and want to add bacopa regularly, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first just to be safe.

In vitro evidence suggests that bacopa extract can moderately and non-competitively inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. It is not known whether this is clinically significant.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Vimovo combines two medicines: esomeprazole (a stomach acid blocker) and naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever). The esomeprazole half is cleared mainly by a liver enzyme called CYP2C19. In test-tube studies, bacopa appears to mildly slow that enzyme down, which could theoretically let esomeprazole build up a bit higher than usual.
Here's my honest take: this is only laboratory data, not something proven in people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Even if levels rose slightly, esomeprazole is quite safe, and you might just notice a little extra effect or mild stomach upset. There's no signal it would change the naproxen side. If you take both regularly, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.
