Naproxen, Sumatriptan falls under NONSTEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS (NSAIDs) — the group Chromium interacts with.

NSAIDs might increase chromium levels in the body.

Treximet combines two medicines: naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) and sumatriptan (a migraine medication). The piece that matters here is the naproxen. Like other NSAIDs, naproxen blocks substances called prostaglandins, and that action may let your body absorb and hold onto a bit more chromium than usual.

So in this pairing, the drug nudges chromium levels up, not the other way around. Good news: this is only a theoretical concern based on how these drugs work, not something proven to cause real problems in people. For most folks taking chromium at typical doses, you likely won't notice anything. Still, if you take chromium regularly, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.
