Hydrochlorothiazide, Losartan Potassium falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Devil's Claw interacts with.

Theoretically, devil's claw might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that devil's claw might inhibit CYP3A4, although this has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist of this one. Devil's claw, in test-tube studies only, looks like it might slow down a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. That same enzyme helps break down the losartan part of your Hyzaar. In theory, if that enzyme is slowed, a bit more losartan could hang around, which might lower your blood pressure more than expected. That could mean dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand up, or feeling unusually tired.

I want to be honest though: this has never actually been seen in people, only in lab dishes, so the real-world risk looks small. The hydrochlorothiazide piece isn't really involved here. Still, since both work on blood pressure, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding devil's claw.
